Regularly clean your smartphone’s screen with special cleaning wipes

Have you ever noticed a rash on your cheeks? If so, be careful with your cell phone as it can be a cause of itching, redness, or swelling near your cheekbones. Recent research has proved that the screen of your device can be covered in 10 times more bacteria than a toilet seat. To prevent all those germs from getting on your face and spreading around, make it a rule to clean your smartphone’s screen with special cleaning wipes.

Regularly wash your makeup brushes

Makeup brushes, if used improperly, can cause acne, allergies, and other skin problems. That is why washing your brushes, sponges, puffs, and other makeup tools should be a regular part of your beauty routine. You can use regular disinfecting and antibacterial cleaning wipes for this purpose. However, if you want to deep clean your makeup brushes, the best way is to use delicate washing fluids like shampoo or soft foam cleanser.

Watch your diet

Sugar and fatty foods are the number one enemies of healthy skin. Everyone knows that. However, for some reason, people often forget that keeping a strict diet is also harmful. Some severe food restrictions, such as now-popular monodiets, can lead to dry, wrinkled, and tired skin. Keep this in mind, and make sure your diet is balanced with plenty of essential vitamins and minerals.

Do not overuse your facial scrub

Abrasive facial scrubs do make your skin feel fresh, clean, smooth, and free of all dirt and blackheads. However, too much scrubbing may cause inflammation. If your skin has a tendency to be dry and develop acne, using scrubs will only worsen the condition. Replace them with a soft exfoliating lotion. People with oily skin, though, should use the scrub once a week only.

Apply a cream to your face before and after swimming in the pool

Swimming pool chemicals dry out your skin, leaving it dehydrated and flaky. To protect your skin from chlorine exposure, use a nourishing cream every time you enter the pool. After swimming, you should wash your face thoroughly and apply some moisturizing products.

Take a shower immediately after a workout

Gym showers may not be the most comfortable places in the world, but clogged pores, blackheads, and pimples that appear if you don’t wash sweat off immediately after a workout are definitely worse. So don’t be lazy! Take some soap or shower gel to the gym with you, and rinse off the sweat immediately after training.

Pay close attention to the signals your body sends you

Common cosmetic problems like irritation, redness, and swelling on the face could be red flags of more serious health issues. So pay close attention to the signals that your body is sending you, and don’t ignore them.

Avoid overly hot showers

Very hot baths and showers tend to destroy the skin’s protective layer of lipids that help to retain moisture in the deeper layers of the skin. The habit of washing yourself with ’boiling’ water can result in premature wrinkling and dryness of the skin. Keep this in mind, and drop the temperature of your shower to room temperature.

Drink enough water

It’s really important to stay hydrated. If you never drink enough water during the day, a great hack to force you to think about drinking is to place you water bottle on top of your phone at your desk. So whenever you feel like you need to check your messages or
